Welcome to
The Nixon Foundation

At The Nixon Foundation it is our mission to make the lives of Tennesseans better. We are dedicated to improving the quality of life of those who need it most. Providing affordable housing and scholarships to struggling Veterans and their families across the state. We also take a special interest in providing scholarships to those affected by Diseases related to Alzheimer's and Dementia.

The Patriot Project

The Patriot Project is the Foundation’s largest program, designed to support veterans transitioning from active duty to civilian life. This initiative helps veterans afford housing by providing a shared living space with other veterans, fostering a strong sense of community. While enrolled, participants benefit from peer mentorship and receive assistance in their career search, helping them build a successful future post-discharge.

Empowering Change, one step at a time

Dedicated to Tennessee and Building a better future for all.

Wanda Holloway was a remarkable woman, known for her unwavering kindness and strong Christian faith. Her legacy of compassion and generosity made the world a better place, she loved greeting people Sunday morning at church and always made everyone feel like they were the most important person in the room. Tragically, Wanda was diagnosed with dementia, a devastating disease that slowly strips away memories, independence, and personality, which eventually led to her passing. Alzheimer's and related dementias have a profound impact not only on those who suffer from them but also on their families and communities. In her honor, this scholarship has been established to support students directly affected by these diseases, ensuring that Wanda’s legacy of giving continues to uplift and empower those facing the challenges of dementia.
